McKeldin has opportunities for the horseback rider, mountain biker, hiker and disc golfer. Rapids along the South Branch are a beautiful but dangerous feature of this section of the park. Many walking trails are available to explore the park and the river.

McKeldin has opportunities for the horseback rider, mountain biker, hiker and disc golfer. Rapids along the South Branch are a beautiful but dangerous feature of this section of the park. Many walking trails are available to explore the park and the river.
Liberty Reservoir spans the Carroll County - Baltimore County line. There are hiking paths around the reservoir many of which lead to the water where you can fish from the shore. The reservoir is known for small and large mouth bass. There are lots of restrictions on the boats since the reservoir provides drinking water for a lot of people. I believe a fishing license is required. There are other nearby access points.
