15mins or so walk from the apartment. Loudons has wide range of delicious breakfasts, lunches, all day weekend brunch, homemade cakes, Pekoe teas, and fantastic Artisan Roast coffee.
Great for Sunday breakfasts! Or any day of the week for that matter! Highly recommend it.

This is our local bar. Just a few mins from the apartment. Great selection of local and international beers, on draught and bottle. Outstanding selection of whiskies, and don't miss the 'Hoop of Destiny' where your try your hand at 'hooping' a top malt to win a dram of it. The excellent, polite and knowledgeable bar staff will assist.
Kids are welcome up to 10pm.
Good bar pub food (try the haggis stovies in a cup!) and there is a Scottish restaurant downstairs also. See post for A Room in the West End.

If you're a beer lover, Brewdog is home to 20 taps of craft beer (both Brewdogs own and guests), a killer take-away selection in chilled fridges, and of course, some top-notch foodie options (mainly great quality burgers and wings). Just 3 mins walk from the apartment, The WATER OF LEITH WALKWAY is more a green corridor than a park, although it is designated an Urban Wildlife Site. The waterway snakes through the city from the foot of the Pentlands to Leith docks, providing a haven for birds (as much as 80 different species), wildlife, and a peaceful, semi-rural route for pedestrians, cyclists, and joggers There's also a variety of historic sites that are linked with this important Edinburgh river. You can walk (and cycle) much. of the way with the water rushing below you, although the pedestrian-cyclepath doesn't always go directly beside the river and some access points have steep staircases to negotiate.

Because Bedlam Theatre is a unique, entirely student-run theatre in the centre of Edinburgh. Clearly visible from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile in the heart of the city, Bedlam is a fully operational 90-seat theatre housed in an imposing neo-gothic church.
Bedlam Theatre is both a listed building and a historical landmark - a unique space and community where students maintain the building themselves throughout the year.
