Our local pub is well known around the area for being a nice place to visit. Not too fancy, but much nicer than the average place. The food we've had there has been really impressive and fairly priced. We'd recommend!

Parks & Nature
A beautiful hidden gem a few minutes walk from the front door. Fantastic for a stroll or run, and to look for herons and swans. There are plenty of benches around the lake to sit and take in the view. The blackberry picking on the way to the lake in late August and September is amazing!

There is a National Trust property here, and also the lovely farm shop and cafe 'Home Farm'. There are plenty of cows and sheep which are raised around the property, plus idyllic riverside and forest walks. You can't ask for more if you want a relaxed afternoon or a breakfast treat away from the city.

Quite small, but good, clean cinema. They honour 2-for-1 meerkat movies deals on a Tuesday & Wednesday. (If you don't know what this is, Google can help!)
