Guidebook for Glenwood Springs

You are about 1-2 blocks (or a few minutes drive) from the majority of the Glenwood restaurants... they are all pretty fabulous. Within walking distance, we recommend either the "Riviera Piano Bar" (excellent Happy Hour specials), "Juicy Lucy's" (wonderful steaks $18-25 avg) or "Colorado Ranch House" (wild game, fab hamburgers, salads, etc $12-18 avg), and Pullman (excellent mac-n-cheese, burgers, perogis). All are located between 7th - 8th St and Grand Ave. Best coffee shop is Deja Brew, on 11th and Grand Ave. If you don't mind driving about 15 minutes towards Aspen on Highway 82, the best restaurant in all of Glenwood is called the "Nepal Restaurant". It is about halfway between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale on the left side of the CMC turnoff light - next to a gas station. There are definitely more restaurants downtown than that, but these are our favorites. Oh, there is also the courtyard at the Hotel Colorado, which is lovely on warm evenings for pre/post dinner cocktails outside, and is just a short walk over the pedestrian bridge at 7th and Grand Ave. No matter what you choose, I'm sure you will have a lovely getaway here in Glenwood Springs.
