if you would like a remote area with a great menu, this little local restaurant is superb! The specials are always good. Near Lucinda, but definitely worth the drive.

If you need to go to the grocery store in Cranberry (north), Clark's Donuts are the best place to stop .
They've kept the same recipes since the 50's. It's a great local place now in Seneca, rt. 257.

7060 US-322Talk about a local bar, this is ours, it's been here for years, The food is amazing bar food. Tuesday nights are their create your own burger (my favorite night) Again, an easy bike ride @ 7 miles to Emlenton.

This place has amazing food and beer! My favorite drink though, is their ‘old fashion’made from a local distillery.
In the basement of the brewery, is some more seating and has pool table, shuffleboard, and a refurbished duck pin bowling! Fun for all!

Kennerdell Scenic Look Out
2441 Kennerdell RdA local waterfall that is an easy walk from a short drive or a nice hike from the cottage less than 2 mile walk with a short climb (on road) and through the old railroad tunnel. (you would want to take a flashlight) There is a small swimming hole that is fun. There is also an old iron furnace just below the falls.

What I always loved about Cook Forest is the old fire tower that you can still climb.
we are so close to this bike path, you will drive over it when you reach the bottom of our hill, which is the upper end of The Rockland tunnel. The lower end of the Rockland tunnel is 1 mile past our place. You will need a light to ride your bike through @3/4 mile. Or it's just fun walking through without a light.

Arts & Culture
The Oil City National Transit Building is the new home to a diverse community of artists to display their talent. Also a gift shop. 814-678-3017 (city hall) to check hours.
Drake's Well is where oil was discovered in the mid 1800's. It is a nice history museum. The drive is close to an hour away. there is a bike path that you could take from the cottage to Drake's well. Maybe 50miles one way.

Wonderful museum for our small area, the building was the original post office of Oil City built in 1905. Of course, there is a lot of history of the oil days in the county.
