I couldn't omit Koko. It is more of an eatery than restaurant. However if you're seeking an unusual place with good, cheap food - go there. They have seating areas on the ground floor as well as in the basement - I personally prefer the basement. For just 14zł you can eat a two coruse meal and try a bit of traditional polish cuisine (keep in mind you have to order at the bar, food will be delivered to your table).

U Romana
Cafe/canteen placed on the top floor in Cracowian Music Academy. To find the place you have to enter the Academy, use the lift and choose the top floor. (not many people know about, if you can't find the place - ask the doorman. Don't be discouraged - the view is one of the best in Cracow :-)
The food is ok, (keep in mind it is aimed at students) I would recommend your order a coffee and perhaps a cake, and sit on the balcony and to enjoy rooftop views of old town!

For the animal lovers: Why sit and enjoy your cappucino in a regular cafe when you can enjoy it in a cafe with a cat companion? All the cats are rescue cats, very well taken care of, and they recieve plenty of cuddles on a daily basis :-)

Very good polish restaurant. As the name indicates with "kaczka", the restaurant specialises in duck dishes. Perhaps a bit pricier than other options in the centre, however the quality of the dishes is amongst the best in Krakow.

Once a hotel which was shut down after one of the worst floods Cracow has ever seen, it has been fairly recently revived into this contemporary/hipster venue boasting several functions. A nice place to order good cocktail at the bar and enjoy it sitting on a deckchair with Vistula river and Wawel Castle in the background. At night it becomes club with a great atmosphere.

Perfect place for food shopping. Here you can find many fresh products including hams, cheeses directly from local farmers, as well as several bakeries. My favourite place for hams here is "Wędliny z Tuchowa", located in one of the alleyways at the back. In one of the side alleyways there is usually an old lady selling mountain cheese, home made butter, cream and other products :). To the left from the marketplace you may also find a supermarket to buy everything else.

Bike rental - nice service, moderate price. From my experience - bikes are the best mean of transport in Cracow. Go for a ride :-)
