Right on the beach - stunning views and delicious food. Try the corn cakes for breakfast - not cheap, but a great serving size and you probably won't need lunch. Also stop by for their 3-5pm Happy Hour. Great prices and fantastic snacks.

You just might see a koala hanging around one of the gorgeous trees, or looking out to sea on the walking trails, you often see dolphins or even whales in whale season.

Eumundi is worth a visit regardless of the markets, but visiting on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday when the markets are in full swing adds a whole new dimension of enjoyment. Many of the locals are very creative, so you'll find some amazing items available at reasonable prices. There is also delicious food and live music. Also spend some time looking around Berkalow Bookshop - you'll be amazed at what they have available. Also worth visiting the Imperial Hotel for lunch or a drink where they often have live music.

A truely amazing place and only approximately 40 minutes by car from the cottage. The Zoo also has a bus from Noosaville that can take you there.

Smaller than the Gold Coast theme parks, which can be a good thing as you aren't spending all your time in lines. The rides are fun and parents will feel safe with their tweens wandering off on their own.
