You can't come to Reno without a day trip to Virginia City only 30 minutes away. Its an old gold and silver mining town with boardwalk storefronts, underground mine tours, many museums, and shopping. The nightlife is quirky with live music at one of the taverns.

Parks & Nature
Great for families. Our kids love this large park with ponds, playgrounds, rose garden, ride on train, small splash pad, and river access. There is also a community pool and sport fields to use. You can walk to it (20 minutes) along the river or make the very short drive.

Junkee clothing and Antiques is in the heart of midtown with a store full of used vintage clothing and costumes and affordable antiques and handmade decor. Across the street is a shop for just kids. Within a few blocks you can find more antique shops, local restaurants, and places to explore.
