The National museum of Ancient Art, is Portugal's largest museum. It houses many exhibits that date back to the age of discovery. The museum is housed in an old Palace built in 1690, it used to have green shutters. Maybe for that reason the street became known as Rua das Janelas Verdes - Green Shutter Street.

Some Lovely boutiques, gift shops, fabulous restaurants and a Central Park Jardim Carlos Anjos, with an open air cafe serving anything you fancy overlooking a small park with a large Bird Aviary and great playgroud for children, with swings, slide etc. PERFECT spot to sit and watch the world go by.
