One of our dearest friends runs this place, and it really is brilliant if you have children. It's a relaxed atmosphere with great coffee and plenty of space and activities for the kids to get on with there own thing. Ask us about it.

The village was designed by Capability Brown and is truly beautiful and quite unusual. Either a quick drive through or a stop at the Hambro pub for cream tea makes a great little trip and its just over 5 minutes from us.

A spot less than ten minutes from ours with the most incredible views over the Blackmore Vale and for miles around. Really special. You can take short and long walks from a car park up a the top of the hill.

A brilliant farm shop with a superb selection of local, free range produce. The perfect place to get some treats, chutneys or snacks to take home. You can often see kittens, chickens and pigs too - great for a free bonus with kids! We love it and you'll find items from the shop on the breakfast table too!

Brilliant specialist food stop with olives to try, dips, sauces, cheeses, wines and lots and lots of other tasty morsels! Mrs Mack's dressing - a dressing to beat all dressings - is also sold here. You can pick up a sausage roll, pie or salad too, so a great place to stop for a picnic.

This is one of the UK's largest independent supermarkets and it is excellent! All your grocery needs covered, cards (should you have forgotten the occasion!), snacks and a great deli that would be perfect to get a picnic sorted. Very proud of this place!

Pick your own incredible blueberries. We did this with our godchildren recently and it went down a storm. The blueberries are unlike anything you can buy in a supermarket and its really nicely set up, with a little play area and coffee shop too.
