Great pub, very good food, walk a short distance down to the Crown Mines from here. (Poldark film crew car parking area). Or Walk from the cottage along the coastal path and catch the bus back.

full of history. DH Lawrence holed up here with his German wife during the first world war. She was stoned out of Zennor for allegedly flashing her mirror at a German U boat. Good food. Fab walks.

This is a locals secret. Can be a mucky hike down. Voted by the Sunday Times as the UK's number 1 secret beach - which means it isn't our secret anymore. Very close to the cottage (Dogs allowed).

Sweet little art and gift gallery also serves teas and light lunches. The church of St Bridget of Sweden is round the corner and worth a look. This is a rugged area likened to Brittany.
