The closest thing to southern bbq I have been able to find in New York. Friendly staff. The line can go down the block during peak hours so try to go as soon as they open or just after the lunch hour.

The BEST salads I have ever had. Try the apple cheddar! Famous for their thin crust pizza. The chili is pretty awesome, too. Family restaurant vibe, great for all!

My go-to hair salon right below the apartment. Very friendly staff that provide a free coffee or beer while you relax. They get pretty busy so book ahead if you can! They do take walk-ins if available
