This is a new Gelateria for the town and it's great! Try the 'Yogurt delle Alpi' icecream. They also do coffee and meals.

This has the best pizza in Recanati that I've tried. There's a few pizza restaurants but I think this simple take-out tops them all! There's a small amount of space to eat in or you can take away. Choice between slices ready to go or a fresh pizza made for you.

A bit pricey but totally worth it for a treat. Cosy atmosphere, fantastic local food & wine. Try the mixed cheese & meet antipasto. Best to book ahead.

Bar nestled in the Villa Colleredo Park in Recanati. Nice to have a pint with trees all around. They have a good beer selection, aperitivo , burgers and live music during summer weekends.

Irish style bar with a fantastic selection of craft ales. They also do burger & sandwhich type food - they even have a good veggie burger (unusual for Itay!). Apertivo hour isn't bad either.

Lovely little book shop with a great atmosphere. Good for visiting in the day for a browse, but it is also nice for Aperitivo time (around 7). They also do events which you can check on their Facebook page. Events are usually book-related, small gigs, talks or family activities.

Sightseeing
The 'Hill of Infinity' was Leopardi's favourite spot for writing. It has some beautiful views. At one end, near the town, you'll find Leopardi's tomb (or part of it) and it is also near Leopardi's house and library museum.

Amazing views from the top! Also interesting exhibits inside (mainly Italian) and a great historical/now photo display. Unfortunately, you don't seem to be able to buy a ticket just for the tower, you need the €10 ticket that covers the following: La Torre del Borgo, Museo Civico Villa Colloredo Mels (includes Recanati History & Immigration Museum) and Beniamino Gigli Museum. All worth a visit if you have the time.

This bakery has some good bread, plus meat, cheese and some essentials. The shop next door to it also has cheese, essentials as well as lots of vegetables. Both are only 5 mins from our place if you're visiting Recanati without a car.

The side you reach first (with the view) has buses to Loreto, Porto Recanati, Castelfidardo, Osimo, Civitanova, Ancona (& 1 a day for Rome) amongst others. The other side goes to Macerata. (check google maps or another search service as they aren't all super reguar)
