This gets busy during the weekend evenings, so has a nice buzz to it, and the selection of food is good and very tasty.

Really great coffee and the ice creams are delicious too - really recommend it if you are visiting Brockenhurst

You can take the ferry from Lymington to Isle of Wight and walk to the Red Lion, it makes a good lunch stop, and then you can walk off lunch getting back to the ferry. Very pretty waterside walk

Makes great cocktails, my favourite is their Old Fashioned, but gin and tonic is good option, as they have a fantastic selection of gins. Platter of meat and cheese is great option. If you want to buy great bottles of wine they have a wide selection.

Getting to Henry VIIIs fortress is as much fun as the castle itself. You can walk the mile long stretch of Hurst Spit from Hurst Pond or take a ferry from Keyhaven.

Has a lot of West End productions coming for short runs - quite often popular musicals e.g. Mamma Mia, Billy Elliott. Easy to get to by train from Brockenhurst - 15 mins drive to station and then just 15 mins to get to Southampton Central station.
