Mary Cairncross Park is breath-taking with its view over the Glasshouse Mountains. It is also the perfect spot for a BBQ on a hot summer's day. The subtropical rainforest has boardwalks which have been sensitively constructed by the local council so that the ecosystem is not damaged by visitors to the park and this also makes walking through the forest an easy task. The flora is unique and the fauna abundant with pademelons, wallabies and frogmouth owls a regular sight. There is also a cafe and an extensive information centre within the park.

These magnificent gardens cannot be missed! Including the aviary you can easily loose yourself for a day meandering from one garden theme to another with breath taking scenery. It is on a hillside with some steep inclines but don't let this put you off, buggies are available for hire at a reasonable price. Do not miss the aviary, the knowledgeable staff lead you through each section with such an amazing variety of colourful birds.

Including the aviary you can easily loose yourself for a day meandering from one garden theme to another with breath taking scenery. It is on a hillside with some steep inclines but don't let this put you off, buggies are available for hire at a reasonable price. Do not miss the aviary, the knowledgeable staff lead you through each section with such an amazing variety of colourful birds.
A beautiful area and great relaxing swimmming spot after a little walk. Perfect for picnics. A safe swimming hole and the tree swings are a lot of fun to drop off into the lovely lake.

Food Scene
At Maleny dairies you can take part in one of their tours. It's good value for money, informative and an interesting insight into the life of a dairy farmer/farm life. You can bottle feed the calves, pat the sheep & goats and feed the chickens. On the tour your are also shown through the milking area and factory. The tour ends with taste testing their yummy dairy products of milks, yoghurts and custards.

Excellent place to visit at any time ,but lunch time is great for enjoying their cheese platters, and of course a glass or two of wine. Excellent choice of cheeses, clearly labelled, generous servings and good value.
