Parks & Nature
This hiking trail with breath taking views over the valleys; the Breede River, farms and the garden in the Koo and Keisie Valleys, starts at Dassieshoek Nature Reserve (approximately 6km from town) in the Langeberg with a view over the Koo and back to Dassieshoek. The up-route is approximately 9.5km (7 hours) and the down route 11,4 km (6 hours). For more information please contact Megan at the Langeberg Municipality

Entertainment & Activities
The trip is about 10 km long and we paddle past some of the nicest vineyards in the valley, with the majestic Langeberg mountains in the background. The bird life is incredible, in quantity and variety.

Java Mountain Bike Trails has four mountain bike routes that offer amazing views of the farm and the valley. The routes range from an easy, scenic route for families to routes of intermediate difficulty that will keep fitter riders occupied for a few hours. You can bring your own bike or rent one from the farm.
The routes all start and end at the Van Loveren tasting room, where riders can cool down afterwards. Kindly arrange your permits in advance if you plan to start the ride before our trading hours.
