Ballard is awesome but a bit of a trek. So many new trendy restaurants it’s hard to name them all but walrus and carpentar, Sawyer and Ocho are some of my favorites. Hazlewood and Hotel Albatross (tiki-esque bar) are both awesome spots fir drinks. And Sunset Tavern and Tractor tavern are both great spots for live music. If you go on Sunday there is a fantastic farmers market on Ballard Avenue (historic part if Ballard)

Great neighborhood just above Capitol Hill and international district. Bar Del Corso and Homer are great restaurants. Dim sum house is a quaint little dumpling spot. And Clock-out lounge is one of the best spots for live bands (punk/indie/garage/everything!)

South lake union has really grown over the years and has become a great spot for food. I’d have to do a whole separate guidebook there are so many good spots. Taylor shellfish, Cuoco, serious biscuit, Re:public, flying fish, revel (modern Korean), tutta Bella, and white swan public house are some top picks for food and drink. Brave horse tavern, Sam’s tavern, and Feierabend are great taverns. Get a drink at Mbar for a fantastic city view!
