This place is a great little find just in Tollcross. We used to live in this area and it's just so cool! Something is always going on and theres a real mix of shops and cafes. Cafe class is great for breakfast, brunch and lunch! The prices are really reasonable and the staff are lovely. Remember that it's cash only though!

This place is amazing for brunch! But remember that it is cash only and I would book if you can or reserve a table and then walk around the Royal Mile for a bit first because it is always busy!

I love this restaurant so much! The decor is super cool and the staff are always so friendly. The menu is varied so you can have curry, or burgers or something grilled. The food is spicy, although there are a few less spicy options. . But I wouldn't go if you don't like spicy food. My favourite dish here is the pineapple chow. Its a salsa and side dish that goes with everything. It is amazing!!!!
Remember though this place is cash only.

I love this restaurant so much! The decor is super cool and the staff are always so friendly. The menu is varied so you can have curry, or burgers or something grilled. The food is spicy, although there are a few less spicy options. . But I wouldn't go if you don't like spicy food. My favourite dish here is the pineapple chow. Its a salsa and side dish that goes with everything. It is amazing!!!!

The lobster shack is just that, a shack on the beach that sells all kinds of seafood treata. My favs are the grilled lobster and the double cooked chips and the crab and prawn cocktail. There's also the seabird centre and boat trips around the harbour so you can really make a day of it!

TING THAI CARAVAN Teviot Place
9 Teviot PlThis restaurant is Edinburgh's worst kept secret. There is always a queue outside the door but the food is always delicious. Seating is communal but the food is worth it! Definitely go if you're craving Thai food. The prices are so reasonable. But remember it's cash only!
This place is a cosy pub just next to Arthurs Seat. We like to go here after walking around that area there's so much local wildlife and some great walks around this place. The best thing we had was the chocolate bomb, which is a very photogenic desert that melts in front of your eyes to reveal a yummy surprise!! I would go earlier than later as they do tend to sell out fast.

This is a south African restaurant. It was the first restaurant we ate at when we came to Edinburgh. Not great if you are veggie, but a haven for carnivores. With giant steaks and delicious burgers.

This place is awesome! It is all laid out like a 1920s detective agency. The cocktails have punny names and though they often have ingredients that would seem a little weird, everything tastes amazing!!!

This place is a tequila bar with amazing south american snack food. Different tacos and frijoles. I come here mainly for the food but there is an amazing array of tequila that you can drink straight, in a cocktail or even a slushie!

Sightseeing
Probably one of the most famous landmarks in Edinburgh. Located in Hollyrood Parks, these were the royal gardens in the past. The climb up is intensive for those who are not that fit, (like me) but definitely do-able! The steps are mostly slate tiles though so be careful if you are walking that way in the rain. From our house up and down it takes approx 2 hours. The views at the top are incredible but even in summer it is very windy so don't expect to stay up there too long.
