A short walk from the apartment to Pier 84 where you can rent a bike, sit in the park, enjoy a dinner or beer. There's a pedestrian bridge at 46th St. and 12th Ave to get across the highway. It's also near the battleship Intrepid museum.

MoMA is free on Friday nights after 4pm. Get there earlier and join the line on W. 54th St. Once the doors open the line moves rapidly. There are 2 cinemas and I recommend the 2nd floor café.
