A 10 minute drive from the cabin puts you on this pretty little high mountain lake temaing with trout. A great place to kyak, fish, or just soaking your feet in the water and relax

Panguitch Lake is an excellent desination for fisherman wanting to wet a lin. There is good fishing from the shore, but if you really want to have success, rent a boat at one of the lakeside marinas and troll for trout using a Jakes gold and red spotted lure. The lake is teaming with Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Tiger Trout. Check regulations as their are slot limits and rules which are specfic to this lake. Be sure to visit the lodge located on the Southwest end of the lake and pick up a proclamation as well as the latest fishing report. They also have a variety of fishing tackle, snacks, and about anything else you can think of. There is also a burger joint next door that makes fantastic food.

Panguitch Lake
Panguitch Lake is an excellent desination for fisherman wanting to wet a lin. A cute little village on top of the mountain with a handful of great little cafes to grab breafast, lunch , or dinner. You can also rent ATV's, and they have a small hardware store if you need to pick up any necessities you may have forgot

If finer dining is what you are after, drive 20 minutes south on highway 89 to the Thunderbird located at Mt Carmel Junction and enjoy Western cooking at its finest. I highly reccomend the Chicken Fried Steak and be sure to finish your meal off with a slice of homemade apple pie alamode smothered in butter rum sauce. Best Apple pie west of the Mississippi!

4530 State StIf finer dining is what you are after, drive 20 minutes south on highway 89 to the Thunderbird located at Mt Carmel Junction and enjoy Western cooking at its finest. I highly reccomend the Chicken Fried Steak and be sure to finish your meal off with a slice of homemade apple pie alamode smothered in butter rum sauce. Best Apple pie west of the Mississippi!
Great little place only 1.5 miles from the cabin. It's a short 5 minute drive where you can enjoy a hamburger on their self serve grill or and ice cream treat while you connect to Wi-Fi and catch up on the digital world.
