Great local hood street Cafe experience.
They don't have a liquor license, but you can order green olives (beer type 1) and black olives (beer type 2). You will pay for the olives and get a complimentary beer.

Another local Cafe across the park from Power and the Glory. The owner/manager Michael is a real "character", sometimes not in the best way. The people who go there are interesting. I'm not crazy about his coffee and his food is iffy - but it is an authentic experience. Try it if you're game for anything.

Good spot in the seedier part of town. Lower section of Canterbury Street. Don't take any valuables. Watch for pick pockets. The best is not to take cash and respond with "Sorry, no cash. Next time!" when approached by beggars. Preferably go in a group.
