Don't miss the perfume factory tours in Grasse, these are free and excellent . My favourite is the House of Molinard , but Fragonard is also great. Grasse is an easy bus ride away .

Peace and calm is a great antidote to the vibrancy of Cannes. Both islands are worth visiting. Take a picnic and your swimming clothes for a great day out. Easiest access is via the ferry accessed from the old port.
