Rheinaue is a great park relatively close to the city center.
You can either take the subway across the street ( number 66 towards Bad Honnef or number 62 towards Oberkassel ) and jump off at the station called "Rheinaue", or walk next to the Rhein until you reach there. It would take you approximately 30min to walk.

Continuing to the next bridge ( Friedrich-Ebert-Brücke ) you will probably meet a lot of dogs since there is a large meeting point for dogs at the end of the path just under the bridge. This is one of the few parks where dogs are aloud to run free in Bonn so it can be quite crowded on sunny days.
An experience and a popular place for locals to meet.

This place I can recommend for Sunday Brunches but otherwise the service can be quite slow.
