Kampa is a false island on the Vltava River in Malá Strana (the Lesser Town), from which it is separated by an artificial mill race named Čertovka (Devil’s Stream). Kampa got its current area and shape in 1541 when rubble from the fire of Malá Strana and Hradčany was taken there. For more information about the history of the island, click here.

It is necessary to visit Zoo if you are travelling with children.
