Yum Cha! There's lots of Yum Cha joints in the city but if you're feeling a bit rusty from the night before then you might want to stay closer to home to get your dumpling and Tsing Tao remedy. Train to Marrickville from St Peters is fast and easy, or alternatively an Uber will get you there for not much more than $10.

The entire park was once all cemetery and the grave stones lining the walls are the ones that used to cover the rest of the area. Elizabeth Parker, the woman who Charles Dickens based his character Miss Havisham on in Great Expectations is buried there with her father. The cemetery is walled off from the rest of Camperdown Memorial Park by beautiful sand stone walls (although being Newtown they are covered in graf). The entire park was once all cemetery and the grave stones lining the walls are the ones that used to cover the rest of the area. With its beautiful old trees, grassy lawns and wild flowers growing everywhere its great place for a picnic (although expect dogs to be there as its also an off leash dog park, all the dogs are cute and friendly).
