This place is awesome... right on the rail trail (you could always cycle here from the house too! There are a few companies around that rent bikes, I believe)
Great sandwiches, soups, coffees, baked goods, samosas, licensed... I always stop here for a treat on my way by! Great for a takeout picnic lunch too :)

Really great food, reasonable prices. Local and a small craft brewery attached. Stunning views of the Bay of Fundy, this place is literally right in the middle of it, with a huge outdoor deck as well. Super romantic spot.. and also great for families. Near the town of Wolfville, a sweet place to walk around, and close to the Cape Split Hike (to nourish you after you finish!)

When the tide is high there is not much beach, but as it lowers it becomes huge, and is packed in the summer! Great spot. Free parking, park anywhere except for fire zones... they don't actually ticket in the no parking spots!

Great for all ages, this museum is small but nice. Spend an hour or two here while in the city. Check their website to see which exhibits are on. Features a bit of everything - dinosaurs, geology, local indigenous peoples, marine life..

You cannot come to Nova Scotia and not visit Peggy's Cove. This iconic lighthouse with rocky landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also enjoy looking straight out into the open Atlantic. Please abide by the signs and don't step on darker rocks... every year tourists get swept out to sea from getting too close to the waves.
