I love the food here! They use local purveyors for just about everything. Serve breakfast until 1:00 pm. Toy area for kids. Outside tables for nice days and evenings.

This is a gem for those who don't mind looking at the details of a model rail road setting. It is fascinating to see! At Christmastime, you can get in with one canned good item per person that is given to the local food bank. Good for rainy days or to beat the heat.

This is a nice step back in time and a hands on museum. Young and old enjoy this trip back in time. There is a hands on toy area as well for children.

This is a lovely place to walk around and do some shopping. There are lots of quaint village type shops with food samples and even Waltz Vineyard has wine tastings. There are plenty of Amish crafts, galleries, antiques, etc.

Parks & Nature
This is a rail trail that has many options. The closest one to my house is in New Providence. Here is a nice flat section of the trail with view of farmland and woods. There are other stretches of the trail that border the Susquehanna River and that is gorgeous!

Lancaster is now known for its art district so if you are interested in galleries and have the time, downtown Lancaster is your place. There's nightlife, restaurants, galleries, First Friday events, and much more.
