The best coffee within a few minutes walk of our house. They don't stay open late and the shop itself can only seat a few people but the coffee is always amazing. They also have some baked goods so you can swing by for a quick breakfast on the go!

This dueling piano bar is great for a fun night out with all your friends. If you have a big group be sure to get there early (before 8pm) so you can get a table! Have fun watching all the musicians comedic entertainment and sing along for a great night!

For a night out with the girls look no further than Snow & Co. Their frosty boozy drinks will do the trick and they have some great food on the menu. Within walking distance of a whole host of other bars and restaurants, you could always start the night here before bar-hopping through the rest of the Crossroads. Or just sit tight and gab with the girls all night.

The liberty memorial is a great place to go for a walk on a lovely day. Below it is a great historical museum but our favorite part are the views from the observation terrace. If you're really up for a nice afternoon take a picnic lunch and relax with the KC skyline looking over you.

If you're really up for a nice afternoon take a picnic lunch and relax with the KC skyline looking over you.

Shawnee Mission ParkIts a bit of a trek (20 minute drive or so) but if you're looking for some outdoor adventure, Shawnee Mission Park has it all. Trails, disc golf, geocaching, a swimming beach and paddle boats, and much more to explore.
Loose park is a favorite of ours. The rose garden and brush creek give you much to explore. Great for a romantic walk, picnic lunch, going for a run, or just exploring the great ourdoors in the heart of the city!

Arts & Culture
If you only have time for one museum while in KC this is the one to explore! With several floors full of all different styles of art and a huge sculpture garden surrounding the grounds, you can spend hours at the Nelson. The huge shuttlecocks on the front lawn are a landmark for KC and we often spend entire afternoons just throwing a frisbee on the lawn. There are a couple of restaurants inside that are also amazing. We recommend Cafe Sebastien.

4415 Warwick BlvdIf you only have time for one museum while in KC this is the one to explore! With several floors full of all different styles of art and a huge sculpture garden surrounding the grounds, you can spend hours at the Nelson. The huge shuttlecocks on the front lawn are a landmark for KC and we often spend entire afternoons just throwing a frisbee on the lawn. There are a couple of restaurants inside that are also amazing. We recommend Cafe Sebastien.

Just walking around will take you on an entirely new adventure. Fogo de Chao, The Cheesecake Factory, Bo Lings, & Bucca di Beppo are some of the favorite spots for a nice dinner out.
As you'll notice after five minutes in our house, we like funky decor and antiques. My favorite nearby antique mall is A Fabulous Find. It's small but varied and always has a good selection of cute little tchotchkes just perfect to take home for souvenirs.

With more than a dozen antique shops (some only open on the first weekend of the month) the West Bottoms is a great adventure during the day or on the weekends. Its hard not to walk out of there with more than you can pack up in your suitcase but even window shopping is a blast! After your shopping adventure stop by one of the local restaurants for a quick bite to eat before heading off to your next adventure!

For everything from groceries to toilet paper and medicine, you should be able to find what you need at the local Price Chopper. They've got the best prices and freshest produce around as well as a fantastic Hispanic section with amazing tamales if you're in the mood.

The closest target to our house has everything from groceries to clothes and much more. It's also close to the highways so it's an easy stop on your way out South but close enough to swing by if you just need a couple things.
