Hidden restaurant in a huge apartment building that has beautiful woodwork and amazing food. Reminds me of the scene in the Shining when he stumbles into the ballroom after opening a random door.

Great brunch and baked goods. Get there early or you'll need to wait a while to get a table. Parking can be a bit tricky during school year since it is right off Cornell Campus. There are spots further up on Stewart Ave. across the bridge that are often open if there's nothing available nearby.

No category for this I guess. Cideries have become quite popular in the area recently. This makes a nice stop on your wine trail up Cayuga lake. They have cider flights w/cheese and farm to table dinner.

This place attracts a mix of locals and college students. They sometimes have live bands upstairs for a few bucks and then a DJ downstairs. Younger crowd than the Dock or Haunt but right off the commons so you can bar hop around easily on foot.

Local hipster haunt. Easy walk to the Commons. Be careful walking around west of here late at night. Ithaca's pretty safe but there have been occasional robberies etc. on the west end late at night.

Hmm, AirBnb only lists wineries under nightlife but this is a really special little place on your wine tour because it is an urban winery that is run by a 3rd generation French winemaker (I built a website for his new business Flight of Ithaca recently). Call to arrange a tour and tasting. He started with Port wines and now has expanded to reds and whites and a custom crush business as well.

Even in the drought the falls are worth taking a look at from above or walking the train to the bottom. Obey the warning signs... rocks can fall into the gorge.

The gorge trail is a great hike. Lucifer falls is pretty spectacular and in warm weather you can swim at the pool area at the bottom. They also have camping in 2 different sites. I used to work there as a teenager mowing and sweeping the gorge trail.

105 Enfield Falls RdThe gorge trail is a great hike. Lucifer falls is pretty spectacular and in warm weather you can swim at the pool area at the bottom. They also have camping in 2 different sites. I used to work there as a teenager mowing and sweeping the gorge trail.
The entrance to the upper park is quite near the house. Ask us for more complete directions to some nice hikes around Treman lake (not to be confused with Treman park or Marina) or down to the swimming area at the lower park.

There is a small playground to give your kids a break from shopping. The pharmacy on nearby Green st has a stand that sells fantastic ice cream from Cayuga Creamery in warmer weather right next to the playground.
