Nemea - Korinth According to Greek mythology, Heracles achieved one of his first labors by killing the lion of Nemea that was terrifying the area. Also in Nemea is where little Ofeltes, the son of Lykourgos, king of Nemea, and Eurydice, was killed. This happened when Lykourgos entrusted the child's care with the maid, Ypsypylis, who left the infant on a layer of wild olives in order to supply water to the Seven on Thebes. A snake bit off Ofeltes, who died thus confirming the previous prophecy of Pythia. The most important building of Nemea's archaeological site is the Temple of Zeus, the god of shepherds and livestock, who must not be confused for Zeus of the Twelve Gods of Olympus. The Temple of Zeus is located in the center of the sanctuary of Zeus, which included a number of buildings and monuments related to the worship and sporting events of the ancient games in honor of Ofeltes. The stadium of Ancient Nemea was constructed during the Early Hellenistic Period around 330 BC. The total length of the track was 178 meters, as opposed to Olympia, which was 192 meters. It is noteworthy that only the first winner of the games was recognized, while the second place and the last place had the same value.

The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus is a theatre in the Greek city of Epidaurus, located on the southeast end of the sanctuary dedicated to the ancient Greek God of medicine, Asclepius. It is considered to be the most perfect ancient Greek theatre with regard to acoustics and aesthetics. Pausanias praises the theatre for its symmetry and beauty.[2] At a maximum capacity of 13,000 to 14,000 spectators, the theatre hosted music, singing and dramatic games that were included in the worship of Asclepius. It was also used as a means to heal patients, since there was a belief that the observation of dramatic shows had positive effects on mental and physical health.

The Argos Theater was built in 320 BC. and is located in Argos, Greece against Larissa Hill. Nearby from this site is Agora, Roman Odeon, and the Baths of Argos. It is one of the largest architectural developments in Greece and was renovated in ca 120 AD. Considered one of the largest ancient Greek theaters,it has a very long history evolving from a small archaic theater, at the base of a rocky slope in the ancient city's agora, to a monumental theater holding 20,000 spectators arranged on 83 rows; a pride of Hadrian. With the Nafplio bay to the south, and the city of Argos as a backdrop, this theater has provided enormous insight on architectural theater developments.
