A gem itself. It should be on a forgotten stretch of Route 66, but the parking lot is rarely empty. Gem cases, huge crystals and geodes, lapidary equipment and oddly, a collection of antique rifles.

Just up the road. On an extinct cinder cone, this odd, but beautiful old stone fortress-like lookout offers a great panorama of the city, river, mountains, airport. And is a special treat at night.
