Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Bonnet House is a small plantation housing the art created by former owners Evelyn Lilly and Frederic Bartlett, as well as their art collections. In addition to the historic nature of the house and buildings, the grounds are an example of a native barrier island habitat. Five ecosystems can be found on the property: the Atlantic Ocean beach and primary dune, a fresh water slough, the secondary dune ( includes the house site), mangrove wetlands, and a maritime forest. Closed Mondays and holidays.
