This used to be the famous Horse & Groom Pub that was about to be lost but the local community petitioned and saved it Now it's a community based fully licenced cafe bar w/ great entertainment too.

The Black Lion is right in the centre of Brighton and near the seafront. It's a great drinking hole and also a great place to dance the night away as they regularly have DJ's. Highly recommended

Great location. Great reputation as it attracts high profile acts in an intimate environment. Both live music and club nights right on the seafront so noise isn't an issue.
