You've probably already heard of Eventide because it's the most highly rated place in Portland, in this case believe the hype. There will most likely be a long wait, so prepare for that before you go, it's worth it. If you're visiting in the off season and visit at unusual hours you may get lucky enough to be seated immediately (it's happened to us a couple of times). You must try the brown butter lobster roll, you won't regret it. They also have a killer late night happy hour if you need a bite after drinking in the Old Port.

If you like beer then you have to make the trip to Industry Way, a worthwhile 15 minutes drive from our AirBnB. There are a number of breweries all within walking distance of each other: Allagash, Austin Street, Foundation, Battery Steele, and our favorite, Definitive. Make the rounds and try out some of the best breweries in Portland. Be sure to get the Vanilla Dome at Definitive if they have it. All of the breweries are kid friendly as well :)
