The best pizza in Hummelstown and only one block from the apartment. Salads are fresh and not from a bag. Buffalo Chicken pizza is fantastic.

The best subs around. They drive their bread in every morning from Philadephia and slice the meat and cheese fresh after you order. When the bread is gone, it is gone for the day. Get your order in early. They also offer a gluten free option by adding meats and cheese to a salad.

422 Walton AveThe best subs around. They drive their bread in every morning from Philadephia and slice the meat and cheese fresh after you order. When the bread is gone, it is gone for the day. Get your order in early. They also offer a gluten free option by adding meats and cheese to a salad.
If you'd prefer a sit down and have a drink type BBQ- we suggest Smoked. The smoked sausage is local and smoke by a small, family owner grocery store in Hershey.

The restaurant is in the downstairs of the Howard Johnson motel in Hershey. It has a modern vibe and we've never had a bad meal there. It may look like a "dress up" place, however, is isn't. They are happy to welcome you after a day at the park. They have nightly specials and I would recommend getting any fish dish that they offer. They have really good specialty cocktails too. The bar is separated from the dining area by a wall., so this place is good for dining or drinks.

Delish and gorgeous baked goods. They sell Pete's brand coffee and have indoor and outdoor seating as well as take-out. The usually always have gluten free goodies in their bakery case.

We love Piazza Sorrento and their attached pizza shop- Mr. Sorrento's, which is a long time favorite in Hershey. If you are gluten free- we highly recommend dining here. They have a fabulous GF menu and everything is delicious and homemade (except the GF pizza crust). It is the one restaurant that I've ever been to where I can get homemade GF noodles- they are so good! Piazza Sorrento is endorsed by the Gluten Intolerance Group of Harrisburg (GIG) and the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America- they take extra special care to cook and make all GF food with separate pots, pans and area of the kitchen. If you aren't gluten free- this place is equally as delicious. Highly recommended!

When the hotness of summer gets to you- Indian Echo is the perfect place to go as the caves stay at 52 degrees year round. They are open seven days a week and give guided 45 minute tours all day. They have a picnic area, playground, gift shop and petting zoo.

Rhoads is a local owned and operated Hummelstown institution. They recently closed their pharmacy that was open for 45 years giving them even more room for their gift shop. They have tons of unique gift ideas in their 11,000 square foot store. Please don’t take this as your normal “tourist trinket gift shop”. They have beautiful unique home goods, candles, bath & body products, women’s accessories, jewelry, a large Hallmark card and gift section, and a Marketplace Shoppe with unique food and drinkware gifts. Their second floor is filled with florals and home décor. We highly recommend and love Rhoads. If you go- give yourself plenty of time as it’s easy to get lost in all they offer.
