Hands down our FAVORITE restaurant in town. You can eat breakfast here everyday and sometimes we do. We prefer breakfast/brunch/lunch but dinner is good as well.

You gotta drive but it's the best coffee in town, serving Stumptown. Good breakfast burritos and lunch as well. Local, funky, and fun.

This is about 45 minutes southwest. It is an exceptional hiking experience. easy, mostly walking, not too long, but has very unique rock formations. Several movies have used this site.

This is a famous and lovely historic pilgrimage destination. The Sanctuary is OLD, originating in 1865 as a shrine and worth the drive. it is about 45 minutes north of town. It is on the Nambe hi way, well marked.
The small village is the home source for the famous Chimayo red chili available locally at the farmers markets, and close to Espanola, the low- rider capital of the U.S. http://www.elsantuariodechimayo.us/Santuario/index.html

We like Ojo Caliente because of the exceptional mineral hot springs. it is old, historic, not so tres chi chi, but has nice services and truly exceptional waters, It has Iron, Arsenic, Lithium, and soda pools. Possibly the only hot springs in the country with unique mineral content pools. The drive is beautiful once you move through Espanola, and it is about forty five minutes. It's a GREAT evening experience at the end of long walking, shopping, hiking day.
