As a bonus to having seafood right around the corner from the house, we had the opportunity to shake hands with Cowboy alumni Bill Bates who happened to be having dinner there on Saturday night.

If you're in the mood for southern food, this place is great and the staff is super friendly. I recommend the chicken-fried steak or chicken-fried chicken with mashed potatoes of course!

It's a little hole in the wall where everything I've had was delicious (Carne Guisada dinner, migas, etc.) and the prices are great. And, we were able to get breakfast at 11 AM on a Monday. Yay!

Great place for amazing breakfast anytime of the day. They also serve lunch/dinner, we just haven't tried them yet. Wait staff in this diner-style restaurant is super friendly.

Try one of the Portland sampler appetizers to get your taste buds going. We followed with the Kingston Trio to try 3 more dishes. We finished with the Chocolate Rum Runner cake. To sum it up, YUM!

This place is pricey, but if you're celebrating something big (like our 21st anniversary), it is a great place to splurge. Absolutely my favorite steak ever. Fantastic ambiance and service.

If you want to skip the craziness of our local Walmart, this is a nice quiet grocery store to shop. We've got a kroger card in the drawer under the microwave if you'd like to use for discounts.
