Some favorite restaurants and shops are on the parkway, and also on the surrounding north and south streets. Go to Fords Garage, right off the bridge for burgers and fries, Iguana Mia or Monarca's a block or 2 up on Del Prado, for Mexican food. Try Papa Joes, Nice Guys, and Sals for Italian favorites and pizza, delicious food and drink at Nevermind Bar or grab an iced chai latte at Perk and Brew. 8 Foot Brewing Co is located north up Del Prado.
As for the restaurants north on SE 47th Terrace ......Fish Tale Grill, Chicago Pizza, Trattoria Ciao, Cork Soakers, Annies Diner (breakfast/lunch). Kick up your heels to country music at Dixie Roadhouse!
On the south side of the parkway you can find Jungle Bird Tiki Restaurant (jungle patio, happy hour and Sunday brunch), Monkey Bar Steak & Seafood, Rib City for BBQ and their famous cheese fries and others.
Head over to Karma and Coconuts, behind Iguana Mia, for unique gifts, art, and crafts all handmade by local SWFL artisans .
Downtown Cape Coral is also home to a farmer’s market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and it typically runs from October to May.

Located 16 miles(30-45 minutes in general) from Happy Villa, pack up the car with your cooler, beach gear and lots of sunscreen and head to this beach. If you want to spend a day there, you'll be okay if you go early & stay late for the easiest travel times.
