We recently did a Hawk Walk and it was AMAZING! It wasn't a hard hike, was so educational and we got some amazing pictures of us with the hawks. You'll need to pre-book this experience. It is less than 6 miles from our house.

This is a rescue organization that has lots of big cats, bears, and other creatures. You can book an experience where you get to feed the animals, but even if you don't do that, it's really neat to be this close to these wild animals! It is 13 miles from our house.

My son's favorite is the axolotl! It is a 20 mile drive from our house to the zoo.

Can't get enough alpacas? Take a break from the hectic pace of life, back to "A Simpler Time" where you can unplug and de-stress enjoying the peaceful country setting and gentle ways of the alpaca. I will meet you in the driveway, along with our "greeter" dogs Max and Molly, and guide you down the country road to where you will meet the alpacas. Alpacas are very gentle animals and you will have the opportunity to go in with them to hand feed grain and take pictures with them. Meanwhile you will learn about the care of the alpacas, what they like and don't like and have an opportunity to get your questions answered. Next, we will make our way over to the barn which houses our fiber mill where you will see the process of how to make yarn from the fiber we collect after shearing the alpacas. We will wrap up our tour in our ranch store where you will have time to shop for items made from the luxuriously soft alpaca fiber, aka "the affordable cashmere". Plan on an hour or an hour and a half depending on the size of the group. All ages are welcome, children under 2 are free. (This is where Tito gets sheared!)

Arguably San Diego's prettiest beach, visiting Coronado is a must if you haven't yet been there. We love to ride bikes through the neighborhoods of gorgeous houses, visit the Hotel del Coronado, and enjoy the beautiful beach. You can rent bikes in Coronado if you'd like.
