Small trail runs up to park behind sixth street. Pool is free and well cared for, basketball court and new play equipment. Parking is on the road.

Wonderful place to go in the winter when the ticks are dead! Unique ecology where the pine forest is burnt every five years. Small interactive museum and they have many activities. Definitely need bug spray and cover legs to avoid ticks.

Best place to see deer up close at dusk. Just don't overstay or you will get locked in. Also a nice place to see where the waters of the Mohawk river and Hudson river meet.

Amazing Jamaican food. Popular bar upstairs and usually dining space is easy to find downstairs. Head to the counter and order food before sitting down. We love everything there.

The Mohican has a Pizza Cruise with DJ and Face Painter on Thursday nights and is one of the best deals for the money in the area. Start the day with Great Escape and end it after the cruise by going to 55 Smith St and hiking to the overlook on Prospect Mountain to see the fireworks (don't forget to bring your headlamp for the hike back) or wait and watch them in the village.
