One of London’s better-known parks, it is huge, and each summer hosts several live music events and festivals. Its facilities include a kids’ playground and café, basketball and tennis courts, a boating lake, skatepark, and splash pool. Just 10 minutes by bus.

Finsbury Park
Station PlaceOne of London’s better-known parks, it is huge, and each summer hosts several live music events and festivals. Its facilities include a kids’ playground and café, basketball and tennis courts, a boating lake, skatepark, and splash pool. Just 10 minutes by bus.
Also known as ‘Ally Pally’, this is one of the area’s most popular tourist spots. Set in a gorgeous park offering stunning views of London, it has an ice rink, a boating/duck pond and kids’ play area, a Go Ape rope-swing park, an indoor soft play named ‘Little Dinos’ for young children, and for music lovers a whole load of big-name acts perform there on a regular basis. Plus, in December…it hosts the famous World Championship Darts competition. Catch the bus to Wood Green and then another up to Ally Pally – or get there quicker using Uber/Bolt.

If you like Turkish food, then this place has the best outside of, well, Turkey! Gokyozu is our favourite, but they are all good! Green Lanes – a 15 minute walk – also has an array of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Our favourite area for grabbing food and drink and wandering about, ‘Stokey’ as it is called, has a village feel, full of old-fashioned pubs, wonderful cafes, and quirky shops – plus it is home to the amazing Clissold Park - it is 15 minutes by bus, or six minutes by train from Seven Sisters.
A cracking area, just two stops from Seven Sisters on the Victoria Line and 20 minutes from door-to-door, with an array of great independent and chain pubs and bars, cafes and restaurants, shops, theatres, cinemas & music venues.

Take the bus for 15 minutes, or get the overground train from Seven Sisters station in about six.
Our nearest park, five minutes walk from our house, has a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and a little football ‘cage’, plus a small ‘greasy spoon’ cafe selling standard meals.
