Sullivans Bay is a long sweeping bag which is great for swimming - its gentle slopping beach is safe for kids and there are rock pools to either end with treasures to be found. Take shelter from the sun under the pohutukawa trees and enjoy the view of the Yachts at anchor.

Te Muri Estuary is a short walk from the carpark through the fields of sheep and along a beautiful coastal walkway. The estuary is warm to swim in and at low tide you can walk across and along to the campsite at the end. We like to go at high tide or just as the tide is turning and run along the edge and jump in to float back down to the mouth of the estuary. Is summer when the Pohutakawas are out it is stunning!
