Food scene
Great food and drink that is only a short walk to the Magic Mountain Lodge. The wings are great (multiple options, but I am a big fan of the garlic soy and the maple sriracha), staff is awesome and great spot for some live music. From a sandwich standpoint I am a fan of the Vermonter and the Magic Club, but they have multiple sandwich options. The Reuben received multiple thumbs up from recent diners. The apres music is great and if they have a band playing the stage you are in for a treat. The new expanded deck is outstanding year round. If you have kids with you the menu works for kids. Shirley Temples, chocolate milk, chicken tenders and the Black Line burger are favorites in our house.
Pay attention to whether The T Bar is open mountainside because it is a great day when open.

Black Line Tavern

This is a smaller restaurant that is typically quieter than the Black Line Tavern across the street from the lodge. Wings are good, pizza is good. At times you may wait a bit longer for service depending upon season, but it is a cozy wait.

Great spot often with live music that is about a 5 minute ride down the road. It is also near the closest grocery store, gas station etc. so a convenient spot to eat while filling up on other needs.

Outstanding spot less than five minutes from Magic. This is a classic small town market with fantastic sandwiches, provisions, beer, wine, candy and outstanding coffee. My personal favorite is the Flatlander, but you will find a hot or cold sandwich to your pleasing. Well worth the short drive which is beautiful as it winds by the river as well. Choosing to ski at Stratton for the day, this will be right on your way.

1 Main StOutstanding spot less than five minutes from Magic. This is a classic small town market with fantastic sandwiches, provisions, beer, wine, candy and outstanding coffee. My personal favorite is the Flatlander, but you will find a hot or cold sandwich to your pleasing. Well worth the short drive which is beautiful as it winds by the river as well. Choosing to ski at Stratton for the day, this will be right on your way.

Bromley is open during the week on days when Magic could be closed. This has a more laid back vibe than some of the larger mountains in the area. This is only about 8 minutes down the road and a really nice option. The lodge is solid as well with numerous different food choices if you are skiing with a group. Outside of winter skiing, great adventure park if you are visiting in warmer months. The adventure park has a little bit of everything from an alpine slide to bumper roads and a scenic chairlift ride to mini golf.

Bromley is open during the week on days when Magic could be closed. This has a more laid back vibe than some of the larger mountains in the area. This is only about 8 minutes down the road and a really nice option. The lodge is solid as well with numerous different food choices if you are skiing with a group. Outside of winter skiing, great adventure park if you are visiting in warmer months. The adventure park has a little bit of everything from an alpine slide to bumper roads and a scenic chairlift ride to mini golf.
"Where skiing still has its soul." Magic is simply awesome. Great mountain, great culture and if here outside of the winter great opportunity to bike, hike, play disc-golf or simply just enjoy being on the mountain. A hike to the summit takes a little more than an hour.

If you are heading up to Magic on Route 30 this is one of your last places to grab some provisions. This may not be the option if you need groceries, but can grab beer, wine, liquor, snacks, candy, syrup, a newspaper etc. There is a small counter for sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

This is a classic general store that has everything you might forget on the way up to Magic. Solid beer selection to add to everything else they offer.

This is right off Exit 2. Take a right off the exit versus the left to head to Magic. Great place to stop for a sandwich, a baked treat or some other great finds.

Great place as you head in from Chester right on the common. Chester is a great little town and this is a great place to get a quick bite to eat, coffee or ice cream. The Elm Street is one of my personal favorites.
