Hankering for some tacos/Mexican food? There are many options in the area, however this is my fave. There meatless options are actually the best I’ve tried. However, if that is not what you’re looking for the meat variety is also very good!

This is the “big box” grocery store I recommend. If you’re staying in my place long term and want to do a big shop this would be the place to go closest to the apartment. Excellent prices, great brand items. This is the urban version of the store, so it’s not quite as big as the others in the city, but this place would have the same prices.

Real Canadian Superstore
5858 Signal Hill Centre SWThis is the “big box” grocery store I recommend. If you’re staying in my place long term and want to do a big shop this would be the place to go closest to the apartment. Excellent prices, great brand items. This is the urban version of the store, so it’s not quite as big as the others in the city, but this place would have the same prices.

Fort Calgary National Historic Site
The airbnb is located on the cusp of this historic neighbour hood of Mission/Cliff Bungalow. Originally the "French Quarter" of Calgary. The historic homes of mission in Calgary are considered to start South of 20 Avenue. The street signs in this area also feature the old names. Here you will also find the old Holy Cross Hospital (no longer functions as such, but houses a offices, clinics and cancer care pharmacy), Saint Mary's Cathedral and the old trolley tracks through to Lindsey Park.
