Best Cafe's in Kitsilano!
These are a list of my favourite cafe's within walking distance of the house (or a short drive.)
It has an amazing indoor/outdoor patio which is great for this rainy season! Great coffee, AMAZING pastries, and it's close to the house and right in the center of all the 4th ave shopping! BEST to go very early in the morning when their pastries are fresh out of the oven... Trust me on this one and get the chocolate croissant. They also have home-made almond and hazelnut milk. Drool.

49th Parallel Café & Lucky's Doughnuts - WEST 4TH

Darby's Public House
2001 Macdonald StIt has a liquor store attached to it, and a big rooftop patio!
The #1 spot for drinks in Kits. It's right on the beach, but get there early on sunny days so you aren't waiting. I really enjoy this place for brunch as well.. make sure you sit on the patio!

By far the best ocean-view restaurant in Vancouver, BETTER than Cactus Club in English Bay but that is still one of my faves too. The food is mainly fancy seafood but honestly I go there for the drinks and the BREAD, at sunset. This is magical. Do yourself a favour and don't skip this one! You can walk along kits beach while you wait for a table but I've never had to wait.. it's kind of a hidden gem even though it's huge.

The Boathouse Restaurant
1305 Arbutus StBy far the best ocean-view restaurant in Vancouver, BETTER than Cactus Club in English Bay but that is still one of my faves too. The food is mainly fancy seafood but honestly I go there for the drinks and the BREAD, at sunset. This is magical. Do yourself a favour and don't skip this one! You can walk along kits beach while you wait for a table but I've never had to wait.. it's kind of a hidden gem even though it's huge.
This is a great vegetarian restaurant, basically across the street from the house (on 4th Ave) that is open 24/7. I love it for brunch but or late night meals after the party's over. :)

Aphrodite's Organic Cafe
3605 W 4th AveThis is one of my favourite walks... to walk down 3rd ave gazing over all the beautiful homes, then turning left on Alma street to 4th Ave and Voila! you are on an adorable little shopping street with Banyen Books and Aprhodite's cafe AND pie shop. Make sure you walk down 3rd (or 2nd or 1st) and NOT 4th, so that the walk is that much more enjoyable.

Beautiful Places/Beaches/Sights in Kits!
My favourite part about Kits is that there are a million walks and beaches and parks to walk to from the house. As soon as you exit the house and cross the street, you are in a park that leads directly to the beach. (tatlow and volunteer park). I like to explore around here either going down to Jericho Beach or Up to Kits beach! The possibilities are endless and where ever you choose, it will be beautiful. I go down to Volunteer Park/Beach to watch the fireworks in the summer!

Great spot for sunset, and drinks at the Boathouse or Local, or tacos at Lucky. Catch some beach volleyball action going on here, as well as Paddlepoard/Kayak Rentals!

One of my all-time favourite places in Vancouver. Feels like you're in the mountains, but there is a beach, a BEAUTIFUL pitch-n-putt golf course, tennis courts, a lake, hiking, beautiful trail walks, biking, the seawall, waterpark, etc. etc. etc. You will not run out of things to do here, trust me! The teahouse in Stanley Park is a WONDERFUL place to eat or drink. trust. me.
