Waiti Bay at the end of Kawakawa Bay Coast road and the beach around the rocks, to the right (from the carpark) offer great swimming in all tides. The walk over the rocks to the 2nd beach leads to the 25 minute walk to Tawhitokino Regional park. The access over the rocks is only up to 2 hours either side of full tide. Otherwise at full tide you will be cut off from returning over the rocks and will have to wait for a while or swim.. Otherwise you can swim in front of the house on a beach to left of driveway. Access to that beach is down a path across the road, a little to the right of the bottom of the drive.
