This was our first coffee shop love in DC. It's in Adams Morgan - about a 15 minute walk on a nice day. You can get breakfast or lunch here and great coffee/tea drinks and smoothies . It gets busy for breakfast/brunch on the weekends. On weekdays, it's a great spot to get some work done.

This Neapolitan pizza place is our favorite in town. It can get very busy in the early evenings (great for kids, but adults appreciate this fare!). Terrific pies, but also check out their daily selection of anti pasti and delicious small plates.

Located on busy and hip 14th Street, this is our favorite place for a celebratory meal out. Fare is bistro French in a fun, lively setting. Reservations are highly recommended and you will want to book in advance. You may have luck walking in on the early side especially if you are open to sitting out on the sidewalk patio.

Reservations are highly recommended and you will want to book in advance. You may have luck walking in on the early side especially if you are open to sitting out on the sidewalk patio.
Tiny spot with amazing pizza! Can you tell we like good pizza? This spot has a wood fired oven that is in full view. Seating can be hard to get so be prepared to wait. Desserts are homemade and delicious!

There are quite a few trails you can catch right from our place. If you head left on 19th, then right on Park Road, you can enter the park by following the road to the right. You can also stay on Porter and take the Klingle Trail to the other side of the Park to visit Cleveland Park.

It's a great place for a picnic, a walk or just enjoying a beautiful afternoon. You will see dogs, strollers, people playing lawn games and others just enjoying the stunning fountains and greenery. Beautiful views of the monument from here as well.
