You can take a hiking trip from Hvalba to Tvøroyri, go from Káragjógv, and the old cairns can be used to guide your way. Before the tunnel, people walked between the villages using the cairns.

You can drive all the way up to "Eggjarnar" from Vágur, and what a view you get from there. Of beautiful bird cliffs on the western side of the island. Park the car, and take a little walk and enjoy the views.

This is the biggest cliff in Suðuroy, if you take the road to Sumba, but right before the tunnel you turn right and drive a little bit up the narrow road, you will see it to right, and you can park the car and walk a few steps, BUT watch out, it is very very steep, so do not walk to far out the edge.
