Expect classy decor and friendly locals to socialize with. Alaska Junction features free 3-hour parking lots and lots of destinations within walking distance.
Endolyne Joe's is a charming American Bistro located in a quiet area. Expect charming informal decor and quality at a reasonable price. This is a great place for brunch and is often busy on the weekend mornings. Free street parking is available.

Bakery Nouveau is an upscale bakery with delightful cakes, cookies, breads, and fresh sandwiches. There is seating and warm cozy decor. Not to be missed are their twice baked croissants! Parking is free at the Alaska Junction 3-hour lots.

This is an old school family run business with top quality products and premium imports. It's your European food connection! There is no seating but they will make sandwiches to go. Parking is easy in their lot.
Il Corvo is a Monday through Friday lunchtime only restaurant in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. There are no reservations and the line stretches up the block. Expect a daily short menu of hand crafted Italian specialties of exceptional quality. It's downtown so parking is not going to be free. I recommend the West Seattle Water Taxi or the C-Line bus for those wanting to make a car-free day of it in downtown. Uber / Lyft are also convenient ways in and out of town.

No reservation is required and there is limited underground parking and also street parking to choose from. Heading there on a week night or perhaps a Sunday night would ease parking concerns.
I like this little Vietnamese gem for it's extensive vegan menu. All the food is good but a vegan menu such as this deserves some attention. The dining room is spacious and light. The waitstaff are clean, courteous, and professional. The prices are very reasonable and the wait for service is usually short.

15623 1st Ave SI like this little Vietnamese gem for it's extensive vegan menu. All the food is good but a vegan menu such as this deserves some attention. The dining room is spacious and light. The waitstaff are clean, courteous, and professional. The prices are very reasonable and the wait for service is usually short.

The Walrus and Carpenter is a top notch oyster and tapas bar. The place is small and popular so I recommend getting there at least twenty minutes before it opens to get seated in the first wave. Expect to wait but that it will be worth it. Parking is at a premium in Ballard, so parking near the local Fred Meyer and walking 15 minutes is a good strategy. There is lots to do on Ballard Avenue and it's easy to make a day or night of it.
