This open air brewery is pet friendly, and not only offers local brews, but has a permanent food truck to fill the belly. My personal favorite is the fish and chips, my husband loves the Philly cheese steak!

More of a Farmers Market, they serve peach ice cream and offer all kinds of local foods including produce, eggs, honey, etc. there’s a playground for kids as well.

Lake Wylie offers over 13,000 acres of lake for boating, wakeboarding, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. There is a sandbar just west of the cove which is a popular spot to anchor in the waist-deep water and play volleyball or just float. The lake boasts a couple of islands to pull up and cook-out and explore.
This country park is the perfect place to launch your boat! It’s also a great spot to pull up to use the public restrooms, play on the playground, and swim.

If your trip length allows, and you’re in the mood to explore, this is a 35 minute drive from the cabin. My family hikes to the top and down in about 2 hours. The views at the top are incredible. We like to go first thing in the morning when it’s still cool. There are restrooms at the visitor’s center, and it’s free to hike.

The views at the top are incredible. We like to go first thing in the morning when it’s still cool. There are restrooms at the visitor’s center, and it’s free to hike.

Use a quarter to unlock your shopping cart and get it back when you return the cart. They have excellent prices, and primarily stick their own brand of products, with very few ’name brand’ items. They’re smaller than a typical grocery store so they won’t carry some of the less common items, but we go every week for the essentials.
